Today is May 21st. We have one month before the summer solstice, the longest day. Every year, the 21st June hits me with both a full excitement and a knowing sadness. Simultaneously, my cup is overbrimming but I can see the hole in the bottom….
So – seize the day; or rather, seize your consciousness that we have a whole month of lengthening ahead of us. And remember – each one of those long days has its twin on the other side: the days won’t be as short as today again until 16th July. That’s gorgeous! Long live the summer!

Here in the Midwest of the U.S. where I live, we have had a cold chilly days requiring boots and jackets one day, and then a warm humid day the next. Mother Nature can’t decide what she wants this month.
While I was in San Francisco last week, it was sunny and beautiful when it was expected to be cold and raining. What a pleasant surprise.
Today is sunny with blue skies and those little white puffy clouds drifting by… I’m going to get out and enjoy it!
